Job Summary

The Social Media Content Strategist is responsible for developing and executing compelling content strategies across various digital platforms. This role requires creativity, data-driven decision-making, and an in-depth understanding of social media trends to drive engagement, brand awareness, and audience growth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a strong grasp of content marketing, and the ability to craft high-quality, shareable content.

Key Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

Content Strategy & Development

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media content strategy aligned with business goals.

  • Plan, create, and curate engaging content across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, YouTube, etc.).

  • Research industry trends, audience insights, and competitor activity to refine content strategies.

Social Media Management

  • Manage content calendars to ensure consistent and timely posting across all channels.

  • Optimize content formats, hashtags, and posting times for maximum reach and engagement.

  • Monitor social media trends, viral content, and best practices to keep the brand relevant.

Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Craft engaging copy, visuals, and video scripts tailored to each platform.

  • Collaborate with designers, videographers, and other team members to produce high-quality content.

  • Develop brand storytelling that resonates with the audience and builds an authentic connection.

Engagement & Community Building

  • Actively engage with the audience through comments, messages, and interactive content.

  • Foster a strong online community and encourage user-generated content.

  • Manage social media collaborations, partnerships, and influencer outreach.

Performance Tracking & Optimization

  • Track key social media metrics (engagement, reach, conversions) and provide insights for improvement.

  • Analyze content performance using data-driven tools (Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, etc.).

  • Continuously refine strategies based on data, trends, and feedback.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in social media marketing, content creation, or digital strategy.

  • Strong understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and analytics tools.

  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and visual content planning skills.

  • Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, etc.).

  • Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced digital landscape.

Your Day-to-Day Role as a Social Media Content Strategist

Develop and execute content strategies for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok by creating engaging videos, reels, and posts that align with brand objectives. Plan, shoot, and edit short-form video content while managing content scheduling, audience engagement, and performance optimization. Collaborate with influencers, brand ambassadors, and internal teams to produce impactful content and maintain a strong, consistent brand presence.
