Job Summary:

The Employer Liaison Executive is responsible for generating new leads and maintaining relationships with potential and existing employers to support exhibition booth operations. The role requires a highly motivated and results-driven individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills, who can effectively promote the services and capabilities of the company to potential employers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Knowledge: Sales representatives in this role need to have a deep understanding of the products or services they are promoting. They should be able to answer questions, highlight features and benefits, and address customer concerns effectively. Effective communication and presentation skills are essential. Salespeople should be able to deliver compelling pitches and demonstrations that capture the interest of potential customers.
  • Customer Engagement: Engaging with attendees at exhibitions and trade shows is crucial. Sales professionals need to approach potential customers, start conversations, and build rapport to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Lead Generation: Exhibition sales roles often involve collecting contact information and generating leads from interested attendees. This information can be used for follow-up sales efforts after the event.
  • University Liaison: Collaborating with university career services and coordinating event details with university partners to ensure alignment between event strategies and desired outcomes.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Sales professionals must be skilled negotiators and closers. They should be able to identify buying signals and close deals on the spot or arrange follow-up meetings.
  • Networking: Building relationships with other exhibitors, industry professionals, and potential partners can be valuable. Networking can lead to collaboration opportunities and a broader customer base.
  • Marketing Support: Some exhibition sales roles may involve working closely with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and strategies to attract visitors to the booth.
  • Reporting and Tracking: Sales representatives often need to track their activities and report on their progress, including the number of leads generated, sales made, and feedback gathered during the event.
  • Travel: Depending on the nature of the role and the industry, exhibition sales roles may require frequent travel to attend trade shows and exhibitions in different locations.
  • Follow-Up: After the event, sales professionals need to follow up with leads and potential customers to convert them into paying customers. This can involve sending emails, making phone calls, or scheduling meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, business administration, or a related field.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to effectively sell the value proposition of the company's services to employers.
  • Experience in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, including lead generation, cold calling, and networking.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems, sales pipelines, and other sales tools and techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Results-driven mindset with the ability to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
